    .44 LePage

Just been and picked up a .44 LePage from a local (ISH) RFD. I had one a few years ago and used 16grns of Swiss with a .010" patch
soaked in wonderlube with a .435 ball. Anyone got any advice on what they are using.?? Tim

I used to shoot this calibre with 15gr of Swiss - so you are about right. Everything else is good except I used spit, being a poor ex-squaddie unable to afford Wonderlube here in UK, where it is priced like unicorn drool.

I use a 435 ball (lee mould) with a 14thou patch in my Charles Moore. I soak the patches in extra virgin olive oil as we were better fed in the air force.

    Yes, I know.

Of my thirty-three years in the Army, I spent twenty-six of them with the Royal Air Force.

    'nuff said.

True, it gave the poor deluded souls something to aspire to, if they ever felt like moving up to a career the Army.

It always seemed very strange to me that having been in the ranks for almost fifteen years, I got commissioned and put in charge of RAF personnel - including corporals - who were years older than I was at that time....

    Each to his own, eh?

I was so confused by it all that I left the RAF and went to Saudi doing the same job for 5 times the money. And got a medal in the 1st gulf war.

Very well, far better than me. The set trigger is excellent. Only hit an 82 first time out but that will improve
    with use I'm sure.

I struggle to hit the backstop with mine. Mind you, my hands shake a lot.
The biggest problem facing this country today is not the terrorist. It's the politician.
