Sussex Interclub HFT 2014 Round 5 Results

Hi All

Here we go ……. with the results from today’s splendid half-way-through-the-series Round 5 hosted by Buxted.

And what a fine job all the Hobbits did to present us with so many new and exciting lanes. Nothing out in the field this time, but more than made up for in the oh so many tricksie positions you had to adopt in the deep dark woods. How come the sun didn’t appear until the moment we finished?

Other things to note …..

1. Wonderful to see our ol' scruff - Sir Fitzgerald - return to the SIHFT. A BIG welcome back from us all, Pat

2. There were almost sufficient MAD members present to make a club team. Good to see you all – guys and gal.

3. Gold badges were hard to come by, mostly thanks to a superb solo 59 (though Simmmo scrapped a creditable 58 as well) from Charles using his standby EV after Rudy decided it was his turn to play with the FTP.

4. Charles and I were talking about the merits of making Rudy use a BSA Meteor (.22 of course) in Round 6. But how awful would it be if he still put in a top 50s result?

Little change in the team totals table, though we do now – at this half-way point – have to wonder if we can already pass one club’s name to the Team Trophy engraver. Come on Buxted … get your fingers out.

Two weeks to go before Round 6 – when we return to the sea side of the Downs and meet up at Mile Oak on the 20^th July.

When R6 is done and dusted, I will begin to publish the individual cumulative scores (%ages) as it’s after this that we begin to drop our lowest and the league truly begins to take shape.
