Bought today off original owner and a credit to him.
Lovely condition serial no 49444 which I guess mid sixties 4th model?
.22
It has a rubber butt pad fitted.
It shoots very well and I must say the butt pad makes it very comfortable.
But should I rip it off and bin it!
Walked into that one Pete!
Come on Patrick, go and find me a King Ratty please
Emailed you pic of Custom Crosman 2250 in my possession.
All work done by Webley before they went cold Turkey.
Thrale says 49440-49509 week ending 08/07/66 Last five .177
Seems to be at least Series 5 good chance of Series6
Clues are sintered loading tap and no cording to trigger block and underlever.
Love 'em.
Excellent- thanks Dee.
This one comes from original owner and is first class.
Never been apart and properly cared for.
As he went to the trouble of fitting the butt pad I will keep it on.
Does actually make the gun handle better.
A bit nicer!
Just been offered another one with a checkered stock that I have not seen before.
A little older and good condition again.
Quite rare if factory chequering. Similar to MkII service on pistol grip with fine diamond cut to fore ends. Has it got bakelite butt plate with/without Webley logo?
That sounds like it.
I will check the butt plate and may buy it.
I should have said chequered.
