    Lyman "Turbo charge" media reactivator.

I added a quarter bottle of this to my tumbler yesterday and as instructions left it running to disperse and dry.

This morning I added 100 .223 brass and left it running for a few hrs.
When I came to remove the brass I found that the media was stuck together inside the cases and primer pockets.
I have spent the last two hours getting all of it out.The brass has a coating which will need cleaning off.

Moral of story is to just replace the media.

Which media is best as I have used all of the stuff that came with Tunbler. Lyman 1200.

Crushed Walnut shells and some Jewellers Rouge is all you will ever need.

I was sceptical about rouge until some arrived with a tumbler I bought from a member on here, it really does make a difference, very shiny clean brass

Half a teaspoon full at most for a fresh refill of shell.

Do you put in half a tea spoon everytime you use it or just the once?

I put the half teaspoon on the change as this seems more than enough and keeps the Red dust everywhere down a lot. See how it goes, I did put another half teaspoon in after about three good sessions of cleaning a while back, suck it and see.

    To refresh.....
Bung media in pillow case and tie a big knot in it and place in washing machine on a good cycle
I then take media to work and leave in spray booth for day or you could tumble dry it but make sure that knot is tight
Then just use with some rouge again
