Looking for a nice canvas rifle slip for a mk1 Airsporter

    Hi guys.

I'm in the middle of restoring a nice .177 full length MK1 Airsporter for a lady local to me. This is her brothers and was the ONLY gift her farther (now passed) ever gave her brother

Obviously it has great sentimental value and I'd like to find a original looking slip for it. I'd imagined a canvas and leather sort of thing? Does anyone have one, know of any being made? Just think it would finish the rifle off and give it some needed protection.

And no, not a Westley Richards one lol

    Thanks and best
    Bruce

I agree, it would be a nice finishing touch, but a proper BSA canvas and leather slip would probably cost more than an average Airsporter.

Normally a few on the bay, make sure you get a rifle and not shottie one (the end cap will be flat not shaped). I saw a perfect period one at Malvern for £15 at the weekend, but have all I need. I think the seller gets on here, so he may see this and get in touch.

If looking on the Bay, Brady is a good make and construction is similar to a period BSA one (but better quality).

Are you going to the Fayre?...P.M. me as I can have a dig around for something as I also have a MK1 sporter here I can use to check fit
