What you could do is add bearings to the piston to fill that extra 1mm...
Hi Folks, quick question for you all - don't know if its a daft one or not
I have a 97k barrel and cylinder assembly, currently with no internals at all ( later 26mm version )
I've found a few bits knocking around in the gun box, spring, trigger, etc....and a 25mm piston, but no compression chamber
Question is -
If I bought a new 26mm chamber from knibbs or wherever, would the rifle work with the 25mm piston with a 26mm seal fitted?
cheers
Paul

It would work Paul but I'd screw a steel spring guide into the trigger block to keep the piston centralised.
This is how Mr Bowkett did it when he reduced the piston OD on 77s.
The other way of centralising the piston is to fit a 30mm OD bearing on the piston tail, as used on the TX but this adds weight.
All the best Mick
Thanks Mick, i'll look into that...
