Pete, they seem to be quite hot on with these now. In Belfast test centre it looks to be a statistic gathering operation to prove how many guns are destroyed for contravening the rules.

It took a couple of weeks for them to determine my 2240 was to be destroyed when I left a CO2 in in error.

My scope that wasn't attached was returned though.

The co2 was empty,deliberately so,BUT according to here,even an empty one is an issue!!!

Unforetunately these lapses happen, hope you get the gun back in one piece! Because the capsule was actually in the gun they might just take the view that it is dangerous (even though empty) and put it in the crusher

I have been sent a gun with an empty C02 in it, luckily it 'got through', and recently someone sent me a gun with complementary full C02 capsules - again they got through...but really it's all asking for trouble (confiscation).

Some sales threads on bbs say things like, 'will throw in some C02 capsules' - NOooooooooo!

Hope they return it to you, maybe if you confirm to them that is completely empty they 'might' be willing to remove it and return the gun to you - but do not hold your breath.

Nearly a month.

A month is too long and unacceptible. If it were me I would be getting nasty.
The issue is with the co2 bulb,which even though empty is prohibited. The pistol is not prohibited and should have been returned by now.
If either the seller or buyer is a member of the Shooters Rights Association or similar you need to get them involved.
If not look on past threads regarding RM and email the moron who runs the company.....a woman I believe but cannot recall her name.
