John, I don't know if you want that actual scope...but I may be able to get it for you cheaper for you if you want?
Let me know either way
So many things in UK over priced, but then we small island buying small volumes.
You can work the import cost out here
http://www.dutycalculator.com/new-im...x-calculation/
But one thing always worth watching out for is tax and duty are separate charges, Vat on just about everything, Duty comes in at a level. Both would be charged on total cost including shipping.
If marked gift, some sellers been known to do this or sent in two boxes as spare parts it skips duty... Terrible behaviour!
Next downside is manufacture must have global warranty, if you got to send something back for repair it all too easy to get caught out and end up paying duty all over again.
If from USA and they ship via USPS it normally comes by Royal Mail, sometimes you will get card saying unable to deliver meaning they collecting the Vat and Duty, other times for some reason they don't bother like weeks leading up to Christmas.
Showing on the U S A one, "Does not ship to U.K. ".
