    BSF Wischo model 50 .177

Rare model 50 for sale. In overall good condition. A few minor blemishes on the bluing (see photo) and good woodwork. Serial No. C 387. Shooting about 8.5fpe with superdomes. £80 F2F preferred, but can post at cost if required (budget about £13 for P&P).

Ive seen a couple of BSF 80s for sale but they have never interested me. The stock fore end looks like its pregnant. Its the same loathing as the FWB Sport Mk3 Dan Dare muzzle weight.

Ive got to admit that the '54 isn't my favourite BSF - that title goes to the '55.

I agree with your assessment 100% ... the S80 was a sad attempt to play catch-up with the other makers when FT was on the rise, the S54 is some kind of converted WWI Mauser dug up from the Battle of the Marne and as for the FWB Mk 3... putting a scarey sex-aid at the business end didn't make it sexier, quite the opposite. The B55N with the Monte Carlo walnut stock is the best one.

Although I have never seen the Venom/BSF B55... was it called a Marauder or a BSF Barmcake or something? That must have been an interesting tool.

IIRC the Marauder series of rifles were produced by Worcester Black Powder Supplies (or summat).
Im sure the 'Woaded One' aka BTDT will be able to shed more light on that subject.
