posting airgun silencer?

Hi,
is it legal to post an airgun silencer regarding a private sale or is it face to face like an rfd?
Also,if so can you send via royal mail recorded delivery or similar?
Apologies if daft question but never sold a silencer before.

Yes perfectly legal for a s/h silencer. Buying new is only via or to an rfd.
I have used RM with no problems ... !st class signed for in a Jiffy bag.
Never had problems.
