Very sad news, i was lucky enough to have met him and have a chat a few times and he was a genuinely nice guy, as anyone who knew him would know he was a great hft course setter. Like i say...Sad news...

Another good guy taken far to early

So sorry for his family and many, many friends. I will always remember Johnny for his dapper appearance at early HFT events and his friendly dog. I have not shot the circuit for ages and have lost touch with most, Johnny was a competitive .22 shooter and a passionate airgun shooter. A great loss to our chosen hobby

I've been off the competition scene for 7+ years but I think I remember Johnny. Did he have a huge, infectious smile, a mop of shiny black hair usually with a hat atop? IIRC he always entered the .22 class of HFT.

If it's the same man, may I say I am very sad to hear he has suffered with and succumbed to his illness and RIP.

We became friends with Johnny at Plymouth many years ago when his new Jeep, he was so proud of, became stuck in the mud and our old 4x4 pulled him out. Typical Johnny just laughed about it. He always had a positive outlook and never a bad word for anybody

RIP Johnny, you fought long enough

    Very sad news.

Never had the pleasure of meeting him, but it's always very saddening when someone who is passionate about our sport and who puts so much in passes on.

    Condolences to the family.
