Vectan AS

Is anyone using Vectan AS in their .44 Leveractions for GRCF , just wondering what loads you are running

Hi Mike, I use Vectan As in 12g Slug - 18 to 22 gns depending on the weight of the slug. It is listed as having a similar burning rate to Red Dot so I would use suggested loads for that as a guide. I have not yet used it in my 44 u/L but I have shot it in a .44 M/L nitro converted Remmington New model army. I put 4gns behind a 230 gn bullet. It was quite a lively load but be aware that the nitro cylinders do not have the capacity of a 44 Spcl or magnum. I would think 4 gns would be a safe starting point for you. Ian.

My self and several club members use lots of AS in 44 and 38.
Its a no brainer really as its half the price of anything else, nice and bulky and clean.
240gn bullet use around 5.8 gns.

I have used Vectan BA10 in the past so quite happy to try AS , the No Brainer cost of AS is right up my street
