    52 a-max comparative

    52 a-max are like hens teeth, can any one recommend something similar for vermin/target

    i used to use 52's all of the time , now i use 55 Nosler BT's.... I havent found anything better for my remy pss

    Berger 52gn fb Target specified for target, so can be posted, yellow box says excellent for vermin.

    Dismayed when I couldn't get any Amax, but delighted with these bullets.

    Accurate, little variation in bullet weight, +/-0.2gn max, terminal effect on fox is impressive.

    Oh Yes

    I've tried Sierra MK in the past, got good groups but only shot 3 foxes before deciding that they didn't give consistent results in my .222 at around 3100fps.
    Tried Hornady 52gn HPBT Match and struggled to get a group that was as tight as the rifle is capable of producing so gave up.

    The results with Bergers are at least as good as my other vermin load that uses 50gn Nosler BT.

    +1 for the 55g Nosler BT's. They went well in my 1-9 223 with N133.
