    delrin rod for piston buttons

    Where can i get this?
Also, what diameter is best? I was thinking 4 or 5mm.

I found one supplier but they only do 60m packs! (only £18 though).
I found another place that will sell 500mm for 28p but minimum orders and postage dont make that viable.

Where do folk get it from? Or are people ordering 60m of it!!

There's another place behind progressive safety in Attercliffe whose name escapes me at the moment but I can give you directions via pm if interested?

Try 'Locate' supplies at Scunthorpe, north lincs..
They supply a lot of the south yorkshire and west yorkshire non ferrous dealers.

Nylon 6.6 is pretty tough stuff and my not have the lubricating properties of the delrin and acetyl, but I am no expert in springer tuning. I did however work on the production line machinery ICI fibres (Nylon), and I can tell you Nylon melts into the pores, and wears high grade stainless purely due to heat and friction.
I spent many an hour stoning stainless parts to remove burnt in nylon, just through nylon carpet fibre running across high contact parts of machinery.
Is PTFE a possibilty as well. It certainly has more lube qualities.
