Steel are most reliable. I wouldn't worry too much about the rifling, the Russians use steel in these and the Drozd and no issues.
Usual reason for lead is at clubs who don't allow steel. For this best I have found are 4.4mm H&N lead coated. 4.5 H&N and Gamo can jam a bit

I've tried copper, steel and lead. The best are the shiny steel (as already said). Someone once reccomended lead which cycle well enough but not as accurate or as consistent as the shiny's. Noticable drop in power because of the weight too

In my gen5 Mak 4.4 or 4.5 lead bb are more accurate than steel.
I suggest you try both, as like most guns individual barrels will have a preference for one or the other.
