Searchin for an older Webley Air Rifle

    Hi guys & girls,

please excuse my apparent ignorance because I don't have much knowledge on "collectable" air guns
I'd like to buy a Webley air rifle, I think they are called "Service" but as I recollect they have removable or interchangeable barrels.
I would like one that is complete & in nice condition.
If you have one for sale at a "fair price" please let me know.
I'd like to see a photo or more if you can provide.

    Thanks & cheers
    Mistit

    Webley MkII Service Air Rifle.

You'll need to do some research before buying IMO, prices vary widely depending on condition, originality, exact model and accessories. For an excellent complete example you'll need deep pockets!

-This thread has a few pointers.
    -A little history here.
-Lastly, download and read the excellent Airgun Collector magazine from here, p.50 gives a few more general pointers on buying collectables.

Doubtless the wobbly afficiandos can provide further detail. Good luck

Sorry chaps, I'm clueless when it comes to posting photos on forums.
Anyways, as collectors you will only be looking at what you may call average & it may be a disappointment for you.
Regardless of that I'm a happy bunny & waiting to do some plinking with it.
It'll look good on the wall of my "man cave" as well.

    Thanks anyway for the interest.
    Cheers

Someone's put in a lot of elbow grease on those stocks; lovely!
How does one achieve such a finish?

    Cheers

    Hi

I've not touched any of them, whether previous owners have I don't know

The mk1 and mk2 have oil finish, The mk3 is lacquered
