    12G Relaoding

I'm about to start reloading black powder cartridges in some brass shells. I've got the data for that but was thinking while I'm reloading them I may as well have a go at reloading some smokeless cartridges as well (in used plastic cases).

I've got the press, shell cases, wads, primers and lead but am unsure as to what is the best powder to use. Now, I've done alot of reloading for rifles, but not for shotguns so any help with powder brands and types would be handy. I'm happy to get load information myself but just need a recommendation on where to start.

    Cheers
    Toby

Vectan powders are always popular as they seem to be much cheaper than the powders from the US

Personaly I'm using Alliant Green Dot for my 12g Slug loads.

It depends what you are shooting (clays or high Pigeon etc?) & what powders are available in your local RFD's

I'm sure there will be some more knowledgable bods along soon but the above links should give you something to browse while you wait
I am quite certain that the argument you've already won in your head was entirely more satisfying to you than the one that is actually occurring.

I'll be using them for pigeon so looking to load for 6.5 30's or 32's.

Local RFD has Vectan which I've used before on my rifles so may try that out.

Vectan AS or A1 will do what you need. If you pm me an email address then I will send you data sheets for 12g
