A provisional "yes". I have put a Lightning barrel on a Meteor and fitted a one piece cocking arm to a Mk5 Meteor. On that I had to crush the cocking arm a little to get it into the breech block and slightly open out the cocking arm pivot hole for the pin. If you are going from one sort of cocking arm to the other, you might have a small problem but other than that it should be ok.

Not even all mercury barrels fit all mercurys. The slot in the breech block for the cocking link varies in width between one piece link guns and articulated link guns. The retaining pin for the link also varies slightly in diameter.

apparently yes but it all depends on which cocking link you have .......I have a meteor mk2 in .177 which is going onto my old mercury when I can get my arse in gear

    Yes I've done it Alistair

Mine went straight on but I used a roll pin in the cocking link to save messing --- my rat gun :-

Thanks gentlemen, I am selling it to someone who wants to fit it (the Meteor barrel) to a Merc. Just said if it doesnt fit I will have it back and pay the postage... Mr T20, that is a very fine rat buster.

I own a Mk2 mercury fitted with a .22 meteor barrel (by someone else) my 'Mercteor' - seems to be okay. There's two types of linkage, single and double - you have to use the right type for the stock you have as there are different mercury stocks.

Like already said, yes it will but the slots are different sizes, you either have too pack out the linkage or crush it too fit.

Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in
