    FEG, Relum or not??

I took a punt on this image the other day.
It could be early Relum in which case this thread is in the correct section.
If it is Chinese then I had better get something up on the UKchineseairgun forum quickly

The stock is the thing that has me picking it is FEG. I have scaled it against images on the net of early examples and they compare well, for whatever that is worth.

This is sorta like a quiz without a prize, and we know how enjoyable they are don't we? It's the participation that brings the enjoyment
The seller reckons there are no markings that identify it; he hasn't sent any extra images other than this one.
Anyhow, here is the image; let me know your opinion and reasons for such. Thanks y'all

The lump behind the rearsight seems to indicate a Relum repeater.
I collect vintage Japanese air rifles & vintage Japanese pellets
Information sought about antique firearms with Japanese markings, do you have one ?

Ogilkes had a Relum repeatier up for sale in this thread recently

if you want to compare it?

More or less a normal Relum but a lot wont interchange (like the paratrooper and paratrooper repeater). I think a Z plate on the barrel closes the pellet "gate" when you close the barrel. Also from memory you can slide the "gate" to stop the bbs or pellets loading automatically.
not sure if the paratrooper magazine tube will fit. I think Nibbsy sells those.
An intesresting thing to have but never really wanted one although I had some "fun" with the one I brought back to life.

Ps---I just found this thread http://www.airgunbbs.com/showthread....3641-Relum-woe

As ggggr says he says did an amazing resurrection job on an old, or rather several old repetiers I had to make one, fully functional example which is still a great pleasure of the colleciton. Yup you are missing the repeater tube form the top. I wonder if by chance I have one somewhere, I'll look if I can find (I promise nothing) it its yours.

    Thanks for the confirmation

That Guy is a wonder and an all round good bloke; if he was closer I would stand him a round or three of his favourite brew.
Mr Ogilkes, your generous offer is only exceeded by your good looks. May good fortune smile down on you, especially in your search for said tube
Please PM me if you have success Mr Ogilkes.
Until the rifle arrives I have no idea of its condition or how incomplete it is. Regardless, the stock appears to be a cut above the average FEG and could be put to good use as a last resort.
I have tried for some extra, clearer images but no joy so far.
Post to the colony could be pricey but I do have a good mate traveling home to visit his dear old Da early next year.
So we could find a way.
Images to follow when it arrives

    Waiting is over

It arrived today and in better nick than I was expecting. Despite being wrapped in bubble wrap and light brown paper it survived the journey well.
Nice tapered barrel, a utilitarian fore-sight, no fore end fasteners or the trigger adjuster bolt unit; it cocks but needs the trigger spring.
The action is 64.5cm, stock is 57.5
As for the rest of it, have a look over I have a feeling it is going to come up well.

    Smile

I was moving some stuff about the shed the other day and hiding away under the work bench was a familier looking box.
It was my Repeatier, so I took that as a prompt to get A into G.
I still haven't come upon a top tube to make it complete.
What are the odds that someone has a tube magazine for a Relum Repeatier laying about the shed that they might want to donate to the resurrection?
As a second choice, if you have a complete gun, could you send/post images and dimensions.
I am thinking that if I can lay my hands on a smooth-bore barrel it may suit being turned to size for the purpose (?)
