    Help wanted

    HI, I have 5 air rifles in my collection that do not appear to have serial numbers on them, maybe I am looking in the wrong place?

    the rifles are;

    SMK XS79, Diana G85, Crosman Nightstalker, Daisy Powerline, Diana MOD23.

    I also have a Webley Nemesis pistol that I cannot find a serial number with.

    Anybody any ideas?

    I am still looking for these serial numbers, is it possible that some guns just do not have serial numbers?

    Cheers Roy, its just that i am recording all my serial numbers in case of theft, if my SMK gets nicked, then there is no way to prove its mine?

    German Dianas (MOD 23 is one of them) did not have serials until around 1967.

    But some importers seem to have marked a few, I have seen this on some guns.

    Rest, I don't know, but the less expensive guns often did not have them.

    Just use a UV security pen and make your own number up. It will do at a push.
    It's that or buy a set of number stamps and stamp your own into the metalwork!

    Cheers.

    Thanks all for the info, I never thought of marking them myself, Doh!! if my model 23 is older than 1967 does that make it collectable? and perhaps worth a bit? I guess I should get the collection valued for the insurance/

    cheers,

    Jim.
