    Walther LG 300 conversions??

Has anybody on here either upgraded an LG300 to provide 12flbs or knows who to contact? I'm also looking for a good source for Walther spare parts? I think I need to convert the cocking handle to fit a scope on the rifle.

    Any ideas most appreciated!

I'm sure Jon Harris would be able to do this type of work.

Turning the LG300 up to 12 ft/lbs can cause some problems.

Basically the regulator isn't designed to run at much over 6 ft/lbs. Some regs have failed in LG300 dominators with regular use.

Try talking to Nick Murphy. He modifies the regulators on the Dominators imported by Stu Hancox to work very consistently at the legal limit.

As for spares.......try Brocock, the waiting time for Walther to send the spares may be measured by the rise and fall of entire civilisations but they can get most stuff eventually.

I fitted a Meopta with medium mounts on my Dommie to use it for HFT. It just took a little bit of careful work with a file to slim the rear mount down so that the standard cocking lever would clear it. For FT I use a big Nikko on riser blocks and the cocking lever clears the riser without a problem.

The LG300 is outwardly the same action as the Dommie.
