HW 80 no hull cartridge mark

Hi all, I bought a HW80 in .177 today at a car boot sale. Its in pretty good nick and was a good price. I now notice it hasn't got the hull cartridge stamp on the barrel. Does this mean its a chinese copy or something? I have another in .22 and it looks exactly the same.

    Cheers

    Ian

I can imagine which div on there told you it was a fake John.

I have a 35E with Edgar Brothers stamped on it --- worth so much more than those common old Hull Cartridge guns.

It even has the little pube shaped checkering panel in front of the trigger guard as well.

    All the best Mick

It was a member called Les, This is what he said...

"The tradename "Eusta" or "Eusta-Schieder" is used by Kaschie-Wrage. The Kashie refers to Karl Schieder, a gunsmith, so it would appear that your rifle is a copy of a Weihrauch, albeit a very good copy"

Not a fake. Some dealers used to stamp the guns themselves. I have a WR Pape stamped HW...

Sportsman Gun Centre Weirhauchs are bought in direct. They are not stamped Hull Cartridge and they must have sold a hell of a lot through their 3 outlets.

Not the ASDA type meeter and greeter I was thinking of then John ---" welcome to the forum if you do a search you will find many interesting threads".

The bloke I was thinking about actually told someone his 35 Barracuda wasn't anything special and was worth about £150.

    Twat.
