Cheers Dean and all, I'll pass on your kind comments to the members responsible.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to be there yesterday due to some immediate problems with my youngest sons student digs in Bristol where they had water pouring through a ceiling straight onto the mains consumer unit and a landlord who doesn't understand that this is an issue. Notwithstanding this, he also found that the key to his room had been stolen just before he moved in and the burglar is still at large. So, rather than fixing a bacon roll prior to what promised to be the best shooting day of the year with some outstanding guests and members, I was fixing door locks and mopping up inside fuseboards

Credit to the course team though, and to the new club members who supported this event and to the committee for carrying on without me. I understand Colin even got someone to do the talks

    Ah well, next year....

Mahooosive thanks to ALL the Basingstoke crew for a wonderful day in the Popham woods. Shame that my own ability to hit almost anything (apart from twigs) failed me abysmally

In reply to the above, Sussex-Sam-da-man won the Open with 74 ex 80

You'll find a few pics HERE, though I'll have to leave the viewers/winners/organisers to fill in name details.

Cheers graham, was well pleased with that score as I've been shooting springer all this year and it's the first time out with the pcp in months.
