Yes I bought a Hammerli rear sight which is now on my Anschutz 54 now I have finished my summer competition cards and had the chance to sight it in.

yup sounds great that hammerli diopter is a real peach,i ended up using the riser plate you recommended but unfortunately the anchutz diopter still didnt have enough range to
zero but the cheap one did ,so at least the hammerli is now doing what it was intended;still begs the question why shes proving so problematical
to match a diopter to.the original open sights i noted were set neutral for short /medium range as you would expect from a sub 8ft lbs trgt rifle so im not inclined to think there is a fault in the rifle itself.
