    Serious scope question

I'm using a Nikko Gold 4-12x50AO on my XL, & pleased with it - BUT
Arthritis is getting the better of my left hand, & whilst I like the adjustable focus on the big end my wrist is aching - it's a bit hard to turn
My shooting is all from 10 - 30 metres, so would one of those lovely expensive Side Focus jobs be much easier to use?

Just in case you dont know what a coaster is its the plastic tie that is used in fishing to hold the reel to rod.

To actually answer your question, I have always found side focussing scopes a lot easier to use - less reach, and ideally placed for your left hand if your a right-handed shooter.

Thank you Scarecrow That's what I wanted to hear
Swifty - didn't fancy a coaster spoiling the appearance etc.
nibbleyuk - yes I do know ta, used to do a lot of beach fishing.

Is there any way of 'loosening' the AO on the Nikko? It seems that most SF scopes are around the 16" mark, & I don't think I can get anything that long on my XL, 'cos of the break barrel.

    Cheers
