I already have an XS78, and a ratcatcher, and quite enjoy plinking with them.
Are there any other c02 rifles that are worth looking at?
I was looking at a Crosman 1077, but understand it has a smooth barrel.

Order one from Germany and they come with a rifled barrel. What about the Hammerli 850 air magnum?
If you want to splash out a bit of money, I'd go for the Umarex 850 Air Magnum to.
The 850 looks nice, but at that price I would buy another PCP instead.
Looking at the cheaper end, as it's for plinking, I use PCP for my hunting.
Maybe you could pick up the now discontinued Rabbitstopper, it's just a Ratcatcher with a proper stock & a longer barrel, but a handy little rifle & should be cheap on the second hand market.
As well, being a big Ratcatcher spares are easy to come by, & I would imagine it's endlessly customisable if that's what you like.
I've always fancied the Umarex (Walther, Winchester, etc) lever action carbine
Maybe one day...
For less than £400 you can buy a Walther R8 which basically is a PCP version of the Airmagnum
For that sort of money you can't go wrong
Alternatively, in the same price bracket, there is the Gamo Coyote which apparently is very similar to an early BSA Scorpion
I personally wouldn't know but my RFD seems to think so and he's what I would call an experienced guy
