    TNT no longer exporting gun?

I just heard just TNT too has stopped exporting guns.
I wonder how they're gonna solve this cause export is quite a nice part of some gunshop'income..
There hasnt changed anything legally as far as I know of??
So its just a company issue I presume

Guess they'll have to switch to DPD. They are still exporting from Europe to UK.

This could be another knock on due to air freight regulations tightening up, same as has happened in the UK, possibly just took a bit longer to filter down the line.

An EU movement is not an export as the goods do not pass a portable exit of the EU. I think your confusing the two.

It may be an individual private customer policy? They will quite possibly continue to move guns for dealers and the trade?

    Shipping outside uk

    Hi all,

The TNT shipping issue shipping from UK is true. Following phone calls to all the companies we have accounts with today including TNT. NO CARRIER WILL NOW CARRY ANY ITEM THEY DEEM GOES ON A WEAPON OUTSIDE THE UK INCLUDING STOCKS. The only option left now is a specialist company like PBS FREIGHT at around £400-£500 per item.

What really sticks in the throat is that all the companies who refuse to carry from the UK, bring guns and parts into the UK through the same hubs on the same aircraft by the container load. Makes you think they just want to shut the UK down, or Government officials are whispering quietly into someones ears.

    TNT no longer exporting gun?

Have you tried PBS lately, 3 years ago we sold an FAC Daystate MK 4 to a customer in Greece, as it was section 1 TNT would not touch it so PBS was the only game in town. Cost was just over £450 and that was only to an Airport! the customer had to arrange collection from Athens.

Just heard back from TNT rep who said they have changed policy due to 3 incidents in the last week or so. It mostly seems down to people lying on the description of the package to get gun or airgun parts through, then it gets scanned at the hub, by the time the alarm bells ring the plane is loaded, the plane is held up to off load, it misses it's slot which costs TNT a shed load of money.

So I guess some of us only have our selves to blame. The knock on will effect every business in the UK who export.

Hi Gary, it sounds like an opportunity for someone to do trips over to France and post on from there.
I know that there are Polish guys that do a cheap door to door parcel service between the UK and Poland, maybe it would be possible to get someone like them to use TNT from France on the way through?

    Cheers

    I call 'balls' to that.

The idea that only guns and their parts get through to cause a problem, or only guns and parts are stopped from flying, is utterly farcical.

This is more anti policy, devised by antis, and sold to an anti public who lap up the anti-ness of it as they would stand behind anything so long as part of it was anti. We shouldn't help them do it.

    What went on before?

Did aircraft fall from the skies because of sporting goods?

    No.

Did sub-post offices spontaneously combust because of air gunners?

    No.

Were the public endangered by our simple hobby?

    No.

When we accept these lies and bullshit, and we lay down for them blaming ourselves there doesn't need to be an anti in sight because we are doing their job for them.

This is discrimination without good reason and needs addressing.

Why isn't it being addressed is the question we should be asking.

Why aren't we boycotting these firms? Garnering support from other outdoor hobbyists and other people who might join our side like life jacket manufacturers, compressed air cylinder makers, any part of the trade associations that might use TNT and their services.

It is piss poor that we would lap up these lame excuses and blame ourselves.
