    Evo owners

I'm aware they can be scope breakers so what mounts and scopes do you guys find is the most durable / best combination without breaking the bank ?

Mine is a little unusual in that there is a weaver rail bolted through the holes where the Theoben fixed mounts locate, then obviously weaver mounts with a Hawke Airmax 4-12x50 scope. I've put a few thousand pellets through it since I purchased it in February with no problems.

Mines not got the fixed dampa mount. It's just dovetail grooves. At the minute I have a two piece mount but want to change to single piece. Some people rate the dampa mounts and I've heard othe people say it's not needed just a single piece mount is enough.

If the rifle is set up right then you'll be fine with a single piece, in fact there's probably not much wrong with the set up you have.

My Grand Prix has the built in mounts so no problem there whilst my Evolution has a dampa mount, both are in .22 and no problems to report

The missus has two piece mounts pretty standard. Been on some years Simmons 3-9x40 scope still OK. However it is not full power as per my thread.

Mines un scoped at the moment, but had a low cost hawk 6 x 40 sat on two piece sportmatch mounts with no I'll affect. Also had my tasco 3/9 x 50 on a one piece for a while, but then she's a hardy old girl that scope. I think you'd be fine with a springer rated scope and one piece mount.
