    Bummer about the roof, Mick.

Having said that, if anyone can, we just know you can.

Sorry, won't be on hand to help out, too many days at work, but if you need the Boinger Collective to chip in financially, I'm sure the lads'd be up for it?

Unfortunately due to the high winds this afternoon, our polly tunnel no longer has a roof.

Not an insurmountable problem really but a bit of a bugger.

I'm looking at a couple of options for the Bonfire night bash ---

    1) Bodge the old sheet back on for the bash and then let the winter do it's worse.

    2) Buy a new sheet for the event and then remove it before winter.

When the winds die down I'll assess the damage and if possible go with option 1 --- if the sheet is damaged beyond repair I'll just go with option 2.

There's no panic as the sheets come by next day delivery.

Very sorry to hear this Mick. In retirement & only 35 minutes along the A5 anytime you need an extra pair of hands.

Dropped by Mick's this a.m. to volunteer as a labourer, but after rope, roofing lath & lots of nails, the job needs a calm day.

Mick was also having internet router problems, which we couldn't solve. I left him waiting for an IT expert, so he may be off-line for a bit.

Anybody with 50 metres of roofing lath getting under your feet, why not give Mick a PM?

Hope the weather perks up soon.

And I also hope that Mick sorts his router woes out quickly. Amazing how we all managed for years without the Internet.....can't even start to think how bad life would be without the BBS.

And Mick, when you're back on-line, I know you said there's no need and you'll be fine, but if you need us all to chip in, I'm sure the lads will all contribute.

Mick, I'm not too far away at all and free most of the weekend.
If you need a lift with anything, drop me a line mate.

    Cheers, Craig

Cheers for the offer Craig but I haven't had time to get the materials yet.

The other problem is that I'm busy all weekend on other jobs --- it's no big problem though and I will get it sorted one way or another even if I have to buy a new roof before the bash.

I know that feeling, Mick. Scary, no?
