    Webley Nemesis

Fultons at Bisley had four of these in .177.
They now have three as I bought one as rude not to at £55 each.
Not sure if second hand or old stock but good condition.

Just a reminder that this is a good simple ssp which is often overlooked.

I intend testing mine against my FAS 604 (not £55!) as it shoots very well.

Avoid the .22 as low powered.
    Still accurate tho.

I really like the Nemesis and own a couple, my brother has one too. Two of ours must be getting on for twenty years old now, they've proven very reliable and apart from the odd breech seal haven't needed much at all in the way of maintenance. Some don't like the grip but I've always found it comfortable. An underrated pistol in my opinion.

Not cheap at £200 but very nice for Christmas and maybe cheaper ont net.

    Nemesis

Saw the Nemesis there on Saturday but missed the Webley!

Distracted by the new Air Arms FTP500 thingy hanging on the wall.

    A really underrated pistol imo.

I have two - .177 and.22. Both bought on here a few years back when I was going for a full set of Webley pistols.
I was convinced then that anything after the last Tempest would be a letdown but went for it anyway.

Then I bought the Nemeses, how wrong I was - they are really accurate for a garage target shooter (me) - a precursor for the Alecto maybe?

Price? - they were ridiculously cheap - less than £60 each and one came with original packaging and literature.

    Worth having.

Nice, simple, collectable pistol (I understand the Nemesis pre-dates the HW40). The grip is rather large and blocky but soon get used to it. Trigger heavier than some other SSPs but soon get used to that too. I tried to put a weaker trigger spring in but it was too weak; it operated the trigger and sear reliably but did not provide enough force to rapidly snap down the air release valve...that whopping great big spring is in there for a reason
