I'm out until tomorrow night but have a box fresh one I pulled out of a new rifle. Yours if you want it mate. Drop me a PM as lost your addy. It's from a .177 mk3. You can even have the big ass lump of steel they call a top hat
Hi John, the mk3 TX .177 spring I've just got has 25 coils, the lenth is 22.2 cm , outside diameter is 19 mm and the inside diameter is 14 mm. the spring is a AA brand spring.
Tks Gimly.... that'll work
Just just need something a bit weedy but a reasonable length....
OD 20.8mm. Wire 2.9mm. 23 active coils. 223mm free length.
Thanks, that's actually closer to what I was expecting / hoping. It also confirms the spring I'm using really is a cut down Mk3 spring as I suspected; it's exactly the size - except mine has ~ 1.5 coils missing.. and doing about 10 FP, so with it's full length, it should be perfect
What you up to, then, Jon lad?
THE BOINGER BASH AT QUIGLEY HOLLOW. MAKING GREAT MEMORIES SINCE 15th JUNE, 2013.
NEXT EVENT :- May 4/5, 2024.........BOING!!
Not that similar really - tighter ID (good, so it's fits the guide properly), thinner wire (so it's softer), therefore smaller OD (needs an additional coke can sleeve), but a good deal longer (so you get some bounce eliminating preload without going over power)
