Personally I just trim the the set length of the lee case length guage. It's the same every firing as I always check each case after fl sizing. I like to try and make each case the same each and everytime.
What in users experiences is the best .223 case length. in my manual (LEE) it gives between 1.730-1.760 inches.
i am using these in a Tikka 1:12 twist with 50 grain v-max, viht 133 powder. i am guessing anywhere within this will give good results ? newbie with this calibre

I've got to say I'm tempted as they trim and chamfer at the same time
