    Wooden stock type Crosman M1

Hi can anyone give me an idea of value please on a Crosman M1 with wood stock. I know these are rare and think the wood types were only made for about a year ,1968 ? before production to the plastic stocks. This gun isn't in bad nick though it looks like the stock has had a re varnish and there is a long scratch on the left side. Paint work is quite good on the action but has faded on the barrel. The magazine is the wooden type of replacement. These were never powerful and testing it today I found it will shoot a bb through an empty shoe box at 10 mts.

To be honest I have no idea, as US Airgun Bluebook is no help, but based on your last sale I would say a minimum of £150 and up to £200. If it had the metal mag obviously even more.

Thanks Baz ,I don't want to sell cheap and don't want to ask silly money for what is essentially a bb gun albeit a collectable one.

    my two penn'orth.

Although rare it needs to be in mint/ excellent condition to be worth £200 ( well to me anyway).
Going by your description I would say £150 would be nearer the mark.

Aren't the wood stock ones of these quite a bit more desirable than the plastic stocked ones?

depends who is desiring one , the plastic ones kids had snapped and split , or got smashed of dad so they will be rare soon.

on mine I was thinking of getting custom stocks to do me a walnut stock using the plastic as a blank and having both, I seen one of them years ago looking gorgeous with walnut

The 'Croswood' ones also look very good and a lot have survived a fair amount of use in young hands remarkably well for plastic stocks.
