    An identification challenge to all you air pistol collectors

    I came across this 1980's air pistol recently, which was not what I first thought it to be. http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q...ps013ce69d.jpg Can anyone identify it ? It's not as easy as you might think.

    Pistol

    It looks like some sort of cross between a Baikal and a Haenel 28
    The armourer, with no where near as many guns as I used to have.

    It almost certainly is a knock-off of the Record pistol, with subtle differences, but is not Swedish (or German).

    some sort of chinese gun looking at how it is slightly poorly finished if you look closely

    Ugly is as ugly could be. Reminiscent of the LP3a which have a certain attraction for the odd type. visually it doesn't work for me and I have no idea who but after consultation with someone far wiser, could it be a prototype by Mondial?
