how often should you clean your barrel.

i have stuffed around 2000 through my hornet and recently begun to notice the groups opening up slightly, I have never cleaned out the barrel, and when I stuck an ear bud down it, it came out absolutely black

I have ordered a Logun cleaning kit!

Very rarely. WIth firearms it's essential because of the discharge from combustables, which can degrade the rifling, but with airgun all you get is lube and lead, which are both lubricants. Too much will clog the rifling, but 2000 pellets shouldn't have had much effect on it.
