    Very true hoggy

I am really sold on the Rotex, just seems like such a good gun for the price from new and all ive heard is prise for this beastie even from gun smiths and your good self hoggy and folks have even compared the bluing to the likes of Air Arms

Think the only thing that would sway it for me would be a HW100 Thumb hole stock or maybe a Daystate Huntsman all in .177 for the same price which I dont think will happen unless anyone knows of one of these going for this price

I lke the Brocock, it feels more "swing'able and more practical for walking the fields (the pro's) ... though, a relatively low shot count as compared to the R8. I'm not sorry l decided to buy the R8. I've a feeling l wouldn't have been unhappy if I'd had bought the Brocock. All Hatsan AT44 l saw were composite stocks, and l personally didn't fancy that. The Coyote shouldered nicely, also has a 10 pellet magazine. I actually had both on the counter at the same time, but decided on the R8. Just had more belief in a Walther being more durable in the long haul than a Gamo, no factual reason for that to be so, just my guess really.

lf there had been a stockist that had at the time, all the pcp's l was considering, that would have been nice. That said lm very pleased and content with the Walther. I'd of preferred if it was a bit lighter, but thats not deterimental, more a "like" ..

I've used a Daystate Huntsman .22 .. "only shot a few pellets" .. for looks l think they're hard to better. Lovely pcp. Though considerably more expensive than R8's, Coyote, Brocock and Hatsan's etc. I only ever wanted .22 calibre. The flatter trajectory of the .177 is not a big enough characteristic to pursade me the bigger kinetic "knock down power" is worth surrendering. Its one thing on paper proved by facts and figures, in the field, the .22 has better knock down & stay down ability "and at my age, no one will convince me otherwise lol"

HW 100 without doubt a fine well engineered pcp. For some reason, just doesn't float my boat. If the chance came along to obtain one at a very, very good price, yep l'd buy one .. that's just, an each too their own thing, no logic to it ... atb
