    It is technically a springer but the Giss system makes it re-coilless. The one problem with the Giss system is that the 'original' (get it? ) piston seals, in both rifle and pistol, degrade with age.

    Dave Mercer (DM80 on here ) can replace them while hes eating his tea and watching East Enders. Whether you trust someone who watches Eat Enders with your rifle is up to you.

    Thanks for the info Ian. The gun belongs to my gun club, I am just fortunate to be able to use it when I can gain access.
