"The rifle has sling swivels front and rear but no lug for mounting a bayonet. Other air rifle trainers such as the Czech VZ35 do mount bayonets, but I guess this one was getting too heavy as it was."

I don't think so, Graham. I've seen plenty and none had one. Maybe bayonets had gone the way of trench warfare by the '50s, I don't know.

    Hi Graham,

No, the Hakim trainer was not designed to accept a bayonet. That does not mean you should not have one to accompany the rifle of course. I managed to source one to display with my rifle and ended up selling the rifle but retaining the bayonet. They're not that common!

    Kind regards,

    John

So what I need to do is find some one who had a Hakim rifle and a bayonet but sold the rifle and kept the bayonet and would with some persuasion might sell me the left over bayonet..

    Hi Graham,

I think World Wide Arms had some a while ago - might be worth a try.

    Kind regards,

    Hi Graham,

Yes the bayonet is for the rifle as the trainer was not designed to accept one. They still look good together on display though.

    Kind regards,

    John

They're not that common, so yes a reasonable price. I think I paid around £30 with scabbard a few years ago.

    Good luck!

Daisy also did No. 40 Military Model ( WW1 ) and 2 Defender Models - 1 WW II and the other Korean war. The bayonets are extremely rare - most parents apparently deciding a piece of sponge rubber wasn't sufficient to stop little Wilbur running Sis through with it.
If anyone could give me a value on any of these I'd appreciate it although it would probably reinforce my belief that I should have bought all 3 at a recent auction.

    Daisy Defenders

Mick, only the 40 had a bayonet. The 140/141 and 142 didn't have any sharp bits. The 140 is the rarest.28,000 made-a small number for Daisy! regards,Trev
