How much have we spent in the last twelve months on airgunning ?

    Personally id say about £1500

3 different guns (Bought and sold) Only have the brand new Ultra se now

    Clothing

    Night vision (NVUK kit )

    Pellets etc etc

If money was no object i could easily triple said amount

    Cheers C

My wife's just done the books, and total outgoings since April is £4137.55!

To be honest that's less than I'd thought!

I've been airgunning since I was about 9 years old (40 years ago) and I recon I must have spent £2.5k on kit in that time. Most of the money two or three decades ago.. That's pretty good value. I don't feel the need to keep up with the latest fashion. I spend far more on my bicyles (my other main hobby) as the components wear out quicky. Airguns can still be a cheap and rewarding hobby...

    Don't tell the wife
About the cost of a nice car
and that's in the last couple of months to shoot a few rabbits in the dark
and a few pigeons on a weekend

hopefully my FAC will be back soon so I can pick up the shotgun and rifle I have bought that only cost £300ish ( wife watching over shoulder)

Should have said I've probably spent the same on travel to shooting venues in the same period.

Probably less than £400 on all gun/ammo/accessories - about £450 if you include camo clothing...

Since 1st September £800 on purchase of 2 2nd hand guns. I count Boinger & other airgun bash costs as holiday spending. Professional maintenance on other airguns about £150. Range memberships £30 this year. Pellets, 1 tin monthly. Range fees £5 weekly. Petrol for shooting venues = say £10 weekly.

All funded by reducing ciggy consumption from 20 per day @ £9.28 the pkt, to 20 per week @ £7.00 the packet. I only smoke now when shooting or at a meet.

I've never had such fun for the money, ever!

Seize the Day! Quigley Hollow is a great place to start.

All I can say is not enough, but every time I get spare money, kids or house needs it.

The hobby costs me around £500 per year, lost money is on the small items - tuning, repairs, customisation, clothing, pellets, targets, travel costs.
Tenner a week on my self isn't anything to feel guilty about.
New rifle costs tend to be (nearly) cancelled out by disposals
    e.g. purchases since Autumn 2013 - Rifles - £320, £400, £300, Scopes - £300, sundries £200 ; disposals same timeframe £750, £450

Rifles and scopes tend to be purchased second hand, and losses when I trade in are normally small.
Probably have £3 to £5k of kit, however its taken close to 30 years of shooting to amass that amount.
    Want List :
HW55T - Found and I am now in love

    For 2014:

    About £250 parts/tuning.
    BSA Superstar £110.

Only one rifle this year, last year 5 or 6!

Looks like the medicine is working on GAS for now, but, I feel the addiction returning for next year.......There is no real cure, if you got to have them, you got to have them no matter what. The sniff of leather and Neatsfoot Oil is all too powerful to resist.

    Best regards to all
