Paramo
It may not be camo, but unbeaten for wet weather.

I'm now in the market for some good waterproofs after getting a good soaking when at a hft shoot the weekend . Possibly one of the wettest shoots I've been to .
I thought I'd be ok with my motorbike gear but it wasn't long till I got the drowned rat feeling.
I was thinking some army surplus goretex over trousers might be better.
So what are other people using to stay dry?

I am a motorcyclist, hunter and angler, I have wet weather gear to suit each but by far the best waterproofs are the angling, I use korum two piece but any of the top manufacturers make quality stuff that will keep you warm and dry regardless off weather.

RAF 'foul weather' surplus is very good, its possibly the same stuff as the GoreTeX DPM.
If it's for spending a whole day humphing around a in the wet then go up market.
If it's for spending a few hours at relatively sedate plinking in the mud and wet, say at HFT, go PVC oil skins and wells, 100% water proof. For shooting prone etc, go one size bigger than your normal.
Stay indoors!
Surplus gear german austrian plenty of choice.
Paramo as said highly rated but not cheap.
I have austrian next gen gortex jacket , good size and integral hood has a slight peak fits great over a cap.
German gortex trousers and a snugpack sleeka underneath jacket and softie trouser , merino wool socks for cold weather warm gloves n hat .
Getting wet is horrible but being cold and wet far worse . Your not working hard so sweat you won't much .
I guess sizing is important if your going to layer up too.
Hi Tugg,
I got some ex-German army (Flektarn) Goretex when I started shooting and I found it very good, and affordable. But I don't think there's so much of it about now - but there are other NATO countries with similar kit including UK. A simple shell (one layer) means that you can choose your other layers to suit the temperature. Furthermore the single layer stuff is light and luggable, means you can carry it, even on your bike, to change into at the venue.
I have other items of various levels of proofness and warmth, but I always carry the Flektarn in the car.
AA TX200, HFT 500, AS400 .22
Daystate Grand Prix & Mk3
Parker-Hale/PAX Phoenix Mk2: .22 & .177
Waterproof and Breathable, in my opinion should not be used in the same sentence, There fore something warm underneath something waterproof, an the waterproof can be reasonably cheap stuff.
1 Rapid+sentinal n/v, 1 HW100+ Mamba lite
All in one chemical proof pvc suit.
You look like a tellytubbie and if you slip or trip, you slide for 9 yards.
But very dry and warm and cheap.
Dance like no one is watching.
Sing like no one can hear.
Scratch yourself like you think the zoom meeting has ended.
I use Seeland in the Highlands of Scotland. Also Army Goetex is cheap and robust.
All depends on how hot you run, how many layers you wear under the waterproof, and if you need them bramble proof. If you run hot then you will get steamy.
I just wear normal gear and hide under trees!
