The 28mm must be the length then?

M16X1.25 bore size of tube needs to be 14.75, is it?
O/d of tube by that dimension 18.75mm?

If thats load bearing even in steel at sub 50bar its unsafe!

    Smallest I can go with IR16 is 26mm bore, IR11 14.72mm bore.

    I'm confused...

If the tube OD is 28mm, and 2mm wall, then the ID is 24mm

So how can you stick a 16mm thread into a 24mm tube ?

So your wanting some end caps making to suit the cylinder which has a M26x1.25 internal thread correct?
If so then how do you want the doing?
Ie, do you require another thread inside or better still do you have a sketch/drawing of how you wsnt them and from what material and grade?

Yes it confused me too guys. I have just had a PM from Boko enquiring if I can do it. It seems it's a s200 cylinder, so it's 28mm o/d then! I can't remember what the i/d thread is off hand I would have to look it up but it isn't going to be 16x1.25, I very much doubt. IIRC the "O" ring seal is about 20x2.

Update it's to make a longer complete new cylinder for a s200 chaps

2mm wall thickness sounds too thin to me if a thread is being cut to take 200 Bsr when a plug is screwed in.

What's the wall thickness ov rhe original?

    Cheers

I agree John,2mm is a bit thin but Boko hasn't said what tube he's using and material grade and spec.
Hope you keeping well bud it's been a while?

    Using steel hydraulic tube 28x2

Absolute no brainer with around 1.1mm wall excluding clearance after threading. Not even gonna bother working psi out but will guarantee I can bost it.
