I'm glad you said that regarding the g80, I've a lovely one in .22 and a near mint 79, dated 1972. Think they are both cracking rifles and put modern cheaply rifles to shame.

agree, but when you consider the cost of some of these premium pcpsand the fps variations I only paid £ 30 .00 for the G80 a few years back, whats the asking price for a resonable pcp has to be some £3-400, and yet a cheap spring gun from the 1970,s is more consistent than many of them, one for Jim maybe

Mine 100% had a dovetail cut into the cylinder a took off the poor reflex sight and turned up an aliminium silencer and fitted a single point reflex sight, I bought the gun brand new so no one had added the grooves they we’re definitely factory cut.

Here's mine, brand new, never been fired with all the bits and bobs, only downside it was supplied in just a plain brown cardboard shipping box and not the great box the Cougar was supplied in. I'v never seen another complete one in all my years of collecting.

I'v never seen another mint full set come up for sale in all the years I'v been collecting so to me, I wouldn't say priceless but it would have to be a good few hundred ponds. It would be interesting to know how many are out there and condition?
