I do not doubt for one second that the Imp will be excellent, but it's so rewarding to do the work yourself. Not much required at all on these.

And get that 97 done at the same time you lazy bugger!!
Will you do it for me and I'll get you lots of baccy? I can't be bothered 😁

having used the SFS Imp and having a Hw99 in .22 myself which I have just polished the internals and relubed fitted with a s/s spring guide ,new spring but is not as quite as the imp but is as smooth I think.I did fit a V-mach kit for a mate to his HW99 which was in .177 the max power level was 10,20 ft/lbs which he told me today has risen a little but is a nice rifle and he is pleased with it ,for me the .22 has more room for improving without becoming harsh as the .177 has little room for this

I also dropped on a bargain today. Brand spanker hw99s from dealer 170 squid and free tin of pellets. Ex display model.

It's a .177 so I'll have something to compare when my .22 imp is ready.

And yes Tony u can have a go with the imp and give it a good going over 😁

    Bargain at £170 matey!

As standard, although quite nice, it won't be a match for the Imp in terms of shooting manners. Might need smoothing out a little and "turning down" a tad. But, as I say, still nice and far more refined than a lightweight, full power ,177 springer really should have any right to be. Give it a couple of tins of pellets and see how it settles. Does it have the later, Minelli stock, Matth?

Cheers for the offer of a go with the Imp. When you say a "good going over" I assume that you just mean to have a few shots with it as, from the various reports, that little gem should require NOTHING doing at all..just scope it up and away you go.

Yes I don't mean tune it i just mean you can have a play.

The 99 is the older smooth stock which I actually prefer. More old school look. I'm not a fan of the newer stocks with weihrauch etched in them.

I'll probably swap the stocks when the imp arrives.

How do you make your pics show on the thread and not default to just a link?
