Theoben Evolution -- What lubrication to use?
Hi all,
I just picked up a beautifu Theoben Evolution that has seen little use. I've always wanted one of these!
My question is whether any lubrication is necessary and, if so, what should I use.
Many thanks,
RFCII

What a beauty
Inside, they are assembled with motor oil
Outside, I'd use a drop of regular gun oil on pivots, and for wiping away finger prints.

I find the blubber from the sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus) to be both an excellent lubrication and rust inhibitor. While its not really available for sale in the UK, I have a mate in the fishing industry who gets me a can from Japan when I'm running out.
Its also very good from cross-channel swims, far better than the normal lard imho.
Perhaps have a look on Evil bay.jp?

Take the action out of the stock, take the barrel pivot bolt out(which also holds the barrel lock)wipe all the moly off and replace it with red rubber grease put loads on because when it goes back together it will push out what it don't want also grease the cocking arm where it is in contact with the stock
The pivots on the cocking arm again put red rubber on them much better than moly its a lot more sticky
I've done this with all of mine and it works a treat
Cheers Ray

Thanks all. Regarding the palm, I'm not sure. It is some kind of a miniature fan.
