Bench rests for a springer.
Your recommendations please.
I've looked at the Caldwell Tackmaster and the Outdoor Connections alternative - the Fat Bag and its bigger cousin (can't remember the name).
I've considered the Predator Shooting Rest because it is adjustable, but it seems to be designed for firearms. Perhaps some foam over the hard rubberised supports would make it springer compatible. I've seen Giles from The Airgun Gear Show resting springers on this and I don't know how he gets away with it, but he seems to.
I already have the three piece Outdoor connections bags which are OK, but not really up to benchrest. Difficult to get elevation without changing the contact points on the gun. You only have to look the wrong way at a springer to send it off aim. That's why I thought about the Predator.
I'd appreciate your advice.
Of course it would be nice to get a dedicated benchrest stock for a springer and Ginb used to do one for the TX200. BAR had one and I wish I had bought it. He who hesitates is lost, as they say. I started a thread on this topic a couple of days ago, but there have been no replies so far.
Does anyone in the UK make a benchrest stock for a springer?
