    Baikal izh - 46 M

Hi there I have bought one of these pistols.
I have been reading they need regular and proper lubricating.
Only problem it does not mention what to use or where to apply it.
Can anyone please advise me in proper lube and application for this Pistol

    Cheers
    David

Same ssp powerplant as my nemesis mate.. im squirting hot sauce reel oil into the air relief hole.. and i would agree that the lube doesnt last long.. ive felt the need to relube after only about 300 pellets.. not sure what the equivalent is. I toyed with the idea of silicone .. thats the plumber in me.. soon as i see a rubber oring i want to get the silicone out! The tolerance in the piston was too close for my liking though.
Ill be interested to see what everyone else uses on their ssps

I use Crosman Pelgun oil (from JSR) on my Izzy and HW75

    NOT silicone oil chaps......too risky.
I use 20 weight motorcycle fork oil. The internal components of m/cycle forks contain both synthetic seals and metal to metal moving parts......so if it's good enough for my bike it's good enough for my ssp.

I use Vita-Pos eye ointment for lubricating the piston seal on the Izzy, just a tiny dab. Has lanolin from wool fat, lubricates and seals. Good enough for the very sensitive cornea, so should do no damage.
