Gamo Compact + Sugru Cushion
I am new to the Gamo Compact and have found that it has a slight lump on each side of the upper rear plastic frame (behind the metal straps). Probably not an issue for most folk, but I found that it digs into the inside of the thumb when cocking the pistol; other SSP pistols have a smoother profile and are no problem.
I added a cushion made from Sugru, it does not affect the look drastically, and most importantly it has sorted out the problem for me, I can now cock the pistol endlessly with no discomfort. Circlips and wood grips can still be removed for maintenance, and the Sugru can be removed if required.

I'd never heard of Sugru before, so I must confess - I thought you were having some kind of siezure
Hope you enjoy the Compact mate Seems you're all about the recoil-less pistols lately!
Done the popular trigger mods yet?

Hmm...Sugru Cushion does read a bit odd now you mention it
Sugru has it's uses, some on bbs have used it to hold down the backstrap safety on the Umerex Colt 1911. It has a limited shelf life...in saying that the piece I used on the Gamo was well out of date (looses flexibility when out of date).
Yes, today I shall be mostly shooting recoil-lessness; gives me a chance of hitting something
Yes, longer trigger screw, polished and lubed sear all done. The trigger is very good, not as crisp as the HW40, but somewhat more predictable than the Alecto.
