this is just this gun that made me ask the question,I think they may be quite a rare beasty.

Yep very rare and made only for short time ...nice underlever cocking - lots of pinned parts , nice wood stock ...Somehow we got a bucketload sent over years later in the early 80's and they were sold by the well known Whaley's of London retailers . I had one for ages and had it for sale here at what is now a cheap price for these - but no takers .

Thanks for your reply, what would you think a fair price for one of these nowadays? the one that I have seen is in fair to good condition no box and in good working order
