    Webley Tempest .22 pellet advice

I actually have a Hurricane but with the new version I didn't want to cause confusion.

It's an early 90's model that I bought boxed in as new condition earlier in the year.

Writing says 'Webley Hurricane' on the forend plastic.

What pellets for this imperial .22 barrel please?

I'd like to give it a bit of plinking action!

    Hi Yana

Why would you use heavy FTTs in a low power pistol?

.22 Hobbys go well in Webley pistols, under 12gn vs 15.5gn, and half the price of FTTs.

Hobbys seem ideal for plinking IMHO.

Good point, those .177s would be a fair bit too small.

I found they really like .22 thunderbolt pellets! Nothing else I tried them through did though.

Well don't blame me if you can't hit anything with them!

Go back in a time machine and buy some proper Eley Wasps, or (probably easier), blame the gun.

I'm a bit late here, but Milbro Caledonian would be worth trying. The Caledonian Ultras especially go well in my .22 pistols, though they're heavier than Hobbies. If you do a lot of plinking at shorter ranges, and want cheaper pellets try Marksman and Bulldogs. Bulldogs are much better than they used to be these days.
