removing the piston from a webley hurricane

Hi,I'm stripping a hurricane, everything is off it but to allow the piston to slide out do I have to remove the trigger unit?Pulling the trigger doesn't allow it to slide past the sear but does allow it to be pushed back in??? Anyone help?

I always strip the trigger to get the piston out. There is a strip down guide in the "Idiot's guide" sticky at the top of the page.
